Mohair yarn would have less strength when it is made from mohair alone. Thus we mix wool, which has adequate crimps, with raw mohair before spinning.
Then we use a special machine called “TRISPIN” to stretch the raw hair and form loops, and wind the loops around a nylon core yarn and fix the loops with a nylon press yarn. And we brush the loops to get luster and smoothness specific to DANDE.
Next, we move on to dyeing process. To give pleasant texture to DANDE, we wind the yarn on a reel and put it into a dyeing machine with dyes. And it is dyed slowly to prevent sudden temperature change, then cooled and dried. “TOP DYE” (dyeing before spinning) is also available.
SAWADA has committed to participate in UN Global Compact, which supports universal principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. We are conducting material development and production control taking sustainable supply into consideration.
